Oleg Sceniov's beautifully rendered florals and landscapes generate feelings of calmness and tranquility. With a combination of knife and brushwork, he creates rich textures that can be appreciated from up close and which come together to form balanced compositions that are breathtaking from afar.
Sceniov was born in Siberia, Russia but grew up in Moldova where at a young age he began his artistic exploration. His early creative expressions often came in the form of ceramic figures portraying Russian characters and scenes from everyday life. He eventually turned to experimenting with oils and watercolors, over time, oil painting on canvas became his preferred form of art. Oleg and his family moved to Toronto, Canada in 2001, where he has enjoyed the freedom to devote himself to the pursuit and evolution of his art.
