Christophe SÉGARD was born in Paris and moved to Montreal with his family in 2003.

Self-taught, Christopher experimented for more than 15 years with stone sculpture initially and then recycled metal sculpture, all the while creating paintings, most often figurative.

Christophe’s paintings very often represent the polar bear, his favourite animal. The Polar Bear is formidable, resilient and highly intelligent, but it can also be dangerous and unpredictable. His paintings are highlighted by lines, contours and shadows, which allows contrasts of his subject. He also uses splashes of water and ink on acrylic paint to produce a texture reminiscent of mineral material in connection with his past as a stone sculptor.

Christophe has lived in Sherbrooke since 2021. His works have been exhibited in various galleries in Quebec, Vancouver and the U.S. and acquired by private collectors in North America and France.
