Cole Fitzgerald is a Canadian abstract impressionist artist living in Montreal Canada. Cole studied for three years in the Visual Arts program at John Abbott College. In addition, he studied at Concordia University with a major in Painting and Drawing. Cole uses a multi-media approach to his artwork, combining a multitude of different materials. Much of his work combines layering of different medias, creating a three-dimensional quality.

Cole works primarily in acrylic paint, although he often uses oil paint when putting the final touches on his paintings. His use of recognizable imagery along and text create paintings that are both emotionally charged and visually entertaining. Bordering on a naive style, Cole relies heavily the primary colours and a large brush stroke to create bright and imaginative spaces and characters.

"There are subjects for which my paintings represents to me, different issues I am addressing through them. However, I want the viewer to discover the mysteries of the image for themselves. I see the work as a sort of Eye Spy of visual metaphors."
