Audrey Bazinet is a native of Montreal but has lived in the Outaouais region for over twenty years. She works in her studio in Chelsea and draws her inspiration from the surrounding nature and her love of music. Bazinet experiments with many mediums but works mostly with acrylic on canvas. She is greatly influenced by traditional Chinese painting techniques where the painter's state of mind is the source of life of each trace and each intervention.The Gatineau River, not far from her home, is a recurring theme in her abstract work. Its pure water is a source of healing for the artist during the summer period. During winter, mountain hikes fuel her creative energy. Since obtaining her BAC in arts and design in 2009 with special honours for creativity of her technique, her work can be found in galleries and private collections throughout the United-States and Canada.
